Sightlines Media was created by the idea that local high school students should have the opportunity to have a larger voice in the community and learn the skills to create impactful journalism. The goal is to provide students with educational and publishing opportunities in areas such as journalism, photojournalism, videography, editing, etc and promote the future of community journalism. Sightlines Media is committed to providing students with media outlets that go far beyond their high school newspaper and reach all areas of their community.

Sue Reno - Founder and Executive Director

Sue blends her experience in photography, journalism, education, and youth mentoring to create a unique platform for youth-driven journalism and community engagement. She is passionate about empowering students to think critically, tell both written and visual stories, and engage with the world around them.

With Sightlines Media, she’s working to build a model of youth journalism that encourages creativity and civic participation, and is built on journalistic principles. Sue lives in southeastern Chester County with her husband and three children, ages 13-18, where she continues to be inspired by the energy and ideas young people bring to the table.
